KMW LA Revival

Welcome to KLR. We are the students, instructors, and supporters of KMW LA, born from the unfortunate shutdown news.Announcments, interest forms, community events, and resources will live here.Check back often. We're moving fast and making it up as we go.- Christian, Jacqui, & Skully

Purpose

This group exists to keep the KMW LA Sherman Oaks and West LA communities together during this transition period. Our goal is to preserve training continuity for existing students, families, and instructors while we operate out of a temporary location in the Valley. We are also supporting our West LA family as they prepare to move into their new permanent home.We are not a competing organization. We are not splintering from Krav Maga Worldwide. We are a community in transition, actively looking for the right permanent home in the Valley. If you know of a gym, facility, or investor who believes in what this community stands for, our email is [email protected].We are incredibly grateful for the support, cooperation, and ongoing discussions that are keeping this community training together.

FAQs

1. Krav is closing??
Yes.
2. Both centers?
Yes.
3. When is the last day we can take classes?
Sun, May 31, 2026.
4. Are the Medinas going to buy Krav LA?
Hell no.
5. What is the purpose of KLR?
To keep the KMW LA community together. We are here to bridge the gap until KMW LA finds its footing under new ownership or something else entirely. We don't know what will happen. What we do know is that we don't want this community to scatter. Come June 1st, classes continue - whether that's under new ownership or our own grassroots setup, we will be training.
6. Can you help me with my membership?
No, we are not KMW LA corporate.
We're a ragtag group of students and instructors and don't have access to that info. Email [email protected].
7. Will my belt rank carry over?
That's our goal. We're in conversations to make sure nobody loses their progress. More details soon.
8. Are instructors continuing to teach?
A group of instructors are in conversation about continuing classes. Fill out the interest form to stay in the loop.
9. Where will classes be held?
We're figuring that out right now. Fill out the interest form and you'll be among the first to know.
10. How much will it cost?
TBD. We're keeping it as affordable as possible.
11. Is KMW LA coming back?
Per their letter, they're actively looking for a new home in the Valley and West LA. We hope so. In the meantime, we're working on keeping the community together.
12. How do I stay connected?
Fill out the interest form and join our Discord. Links above.
